General Information

  • Please arrive at your workplace in due time, so that you can start your shift on time. Please check in and out with the managing hostess at the beginning and end of your shift. The time you are scheduled for is the time that you should be at your position.
  • Please wear black (dark grey, dark blue) trousers/skirts (at least at knee-length) and closed black or white shoes (clean sneakers are acceptable). You will receive a staff polo-shirt that will be handed out during the briefing. It is allowed to wear white/black long sleeves underneath (no cardigan).
  • Your breaktimes must be flexible, based on your shift. Arrangement of breaks is done by the managing hostess. 

Do’s

  • Always be punctual

  • Always be polite

  • Always try to help

  • Always smile

Don’t’s

  • Don’t eat or chew gum while working

  • Don’t make private telephone conversations while working

  • Don’t say „I don`t know“,  direct the delegate to a person who can help („I am happy to get the information for you and come back to you.“)

  • Don’t read newspapers etc.

  • Don’t leave your position without a good reason and without telling your supervisor

Important

Daily check-in / check-out: Please check in and out with your contact person / chief hostess at the staff room (Hall C next to hall Sofia). In case of any problems occurring (late arrival, illness etc.), please be sure to inform the chief hostess.

Please be aware that your name badge & staff polo-shirt identify you as a member of the congress organising team. Participants may address to you with questions. Make sure you know the congress facilities and that you are able to answer general questions (next lavatories, session rooms etc.).
