Speakers' Lounge

  • You will get a detailed briefing onsite on the M-Events reception software/live system.
  • Your main contact will be the M-Events supervisor for the presentation technicians.

Main tasks at the Welcome Desk:

  • Kindly welcome each speaker and offer assistance for the speakers‘ matters.

    In case there is a queue and the Welcome Desk is too busy, at least one of the hostesses should take care of the waiting speakers and kindly ask them to take a seat in the Speakers‘ Lounge and offer them coffee, tea or cold drinks.

  • All speakers are asked separately during online upload if they consent YES or NO for the publication of the presentation(s). If no choice was set yet, they will be asked during upload process at the guided upload stations or self-checking-stations onsite at the Speakers’ Lounge.
  • In the Welcome Desk area there will be a dedicated area with two photo stations where the hostesses will guide the speakers to take a picture of her/him to be included to her/his respective webcast (if she/he agrees) and to make it available in the app and on the EASD Virtual Meeting website.
    Pictures of following speakers/chairs will be taken:
    • All chairs and speakers of the oral presentations (OP) and symposia
    • All Short Oral Presenters and chairs
  •  In the next step the speakers will be guided to the presentation technician in the Speakers‘ Lounge to submit her/his presentations to the presentation management system onsite. The Short Oral Presenters can check their Short Presentations at the selfl-checking stations and revise their slides if applicable.
